What You Need to Know

Hospice Care​
A program designed to provide comfort & support to patients & their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatment. Hospice Care neither hastens nor postpones death. Instead, it focuses on symptom management, social & spiritual counseling, education & recreational activities to ensure that the patient's remaining life is filled with peace.

There are Four Levels of Hospice Care
​
-Routine Care at Home
-Continuous Home Care provided on a continuous basis at home to manage acute change of condition
-Inpatient Respite Care when family & caregiver is away 1-5 days
-General Inpatient Care when symptoms cannot be managed at home & round-the-clock inpatient care is needed
The Hospice Benefit
​
Premier Hospice Inc services are covered under patients Medicare A & MediCal benefits. We also accept major insurances, including HMO & PPO. If patient is not insured, payment options can be discussed with a Premier representative.
